Nursery & Preschool

Our Nursery & Preschool is for infants to age 3.  Childcare is available at The Fountains UMC each Sunday for children of members and the children of visitors. Professional childcare provider Denise Schlum and her staff of volunteer shepherds lovingly watch over our littlest Christians, infant to age 3. During the fall and winter our nursery is open all morning, from approximately 8:30 am – 12:30 pm, and during our summer schedule the nursery is open from approximately 8:30 am – 11:00 am.

Elementary School

Elementary School students (grades 1 through 4) are our SPLASH! (Small People Loving and Serving Him).   They follow a “Live B.I.G.” themed curriculum, learning traditional bible stories and applying lessons of wisdom, empathy, respect, and love to their lives. This fresh, exciting format is intended for six to ten-year-olds and features loving lessons on the stories of Jesus. We focus on personal development for opening our hearts to a deeper relationship with the spirit within ourselves.

Middle School & Teens

Middle School students have timely discussions on Sunday morning using an ecumenical youth study that deals with cutting edge issues. LinC challenges youth to think about their faith and beliefs. With the immediacy of on-line technology and an exciting interactive approach, LinC provides relevant information about current issues that have immediate impact on youth. Led by adult volunteers, youth will develop skills to apply their faith to their daily experiences and remain current.

Youth

Youth Ministry at The Fountains is called Cross Current.  Youth are faced with numerous opportunities and choices, and often being a Christian in this environment is not easy.  It is important for a young person to have a safe place to explore ways to “cross currents” of social pressures and cultural norms in order to be the person God created him or her to be.  Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings youth and caring adult leaders will discover the way to live as Christians in today’s global village.  This means exploring our individual lives as well as those of our neighbors, near and far.

High School

High School students join Adults in a study for groups (or individuals) that apply United Methodist beliefs to current faith issues and world events. Weekly study guides are emailed to participants so each person has a chance to read the material prior to meeting, aiding the conversation through this common source of information. This essential guide not only motivates Christians to consider their personal views on important issues, but encourages them to act on their beliefs. This group is a wonderful opportunity for youth and adults to share insights on current topics in lively discussions.
